How do I access the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) collection?

Answer

Qualifying StFX students, faculty and staff can access reading materials in alternate formats via the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) at https://nnels.ca/.  Access to this collection can be gained by registering for a library account and then letting staff at the main service desk know that you require access to the NNELS collection by stopping in, calling 902-867-2228 or emailing us at library@stfx.ca

Alternatively, if you aren't comfortable self-identifying and are registered with the Tramble Centre for Accessible Learning, after you have gotten your library account activated, you can ask their staff to reach out to us on your behalf.

Unfortunately, community borrowers must visit their local public library to gain access to the NNELS service.

Once you have been set up to gain access to NNELS, simply go to https://nnels.ca/ and login with your WebFX credentials and begin your search.

For more information about NNELS, including conditions of service and limitations or for general information on accessible services at the library, visit our subject guide at https://stfx.libguides.com/accessibility_services.
