How can I tell if the library has the journal, volume and/or issue I need?

If you need to confirm whether we subscribe to a particular journal and/or whether our subscription contains the specific volume or issue you need, please follow these steps:
- Go to https://stfx.ca/library/.
- Choose the Journals tab above the search bar.
- Enter the name of the journal you need to locate (not the article title). Use the appropriate radial button if you aren't sure of the exact name.
- Search the list of results for the journal you need. In this example, we are looking for The New England Journal of Medicine.
- Scan the print and/or electronic holdings and ensure the journal, volume and issue you need falls within the listed ranges.
- If you can't access an electronic journal we are supposed to have, please refer to this FAQ.
- If our print holdings or electronic subscriptions don't contain the journal, volume or issue required, then you can make a interlibrary lending request for article you need.
