How do I borrow a laptop?

This service is only available for StFX students who are in Antigonish.
- Navigate to our laptop booking site or navigate to the Borrowing section and click on the "Laptop Lending" link from our website and then click on the button to reserve a laptop.
- Click on the item record for the length of loan you require.
- Sign-in to your library account.
- Units available to borrow will have a “Request” link available in the item list. Click on this link to start the booking process. Click on the “Show More Items” link to display more units and check their availability.
- Type in any notes, special instructions or requests in the "Additional Information" section, or you may leave this blank. Click "Send Request".
- Laptops must be picked up within 1 business day. Holds will be cancelled after 1 day and the laptops will be made available for other users to borrow.
- The long-term loaners can be borrowed for 3 weeks, with the option for 1 renewal for another 3 weeks, which will happen automatically if the laptop is not returned before the original due date. Quick-use laptops can be borrowed for 1-day and are not renewable.
